Cowboys, Indians, shootouts and chases. In Tonto, New Mexico, a small remote town, a group of travelers board the Overland Stage bound for Lordsburg. As they travel through hostile Apace territory, a culture clash, between the supposedly respectable passengers and the tainted outsiders ensues as their journey progresses. It is the less respectable passengers that show courage and humanity. This is the signature Western setting in Monument Valley of a legendary director.
