The Bedford Incident

Newly launched U.S. Destroyer Captain Eric Finlander (Richard Widmark) is obsessed with hunting down a particular Soviet submarine -- regardless of the great risks involved. Finlander's salty character clashes with quick-witted journalist Ben Munceford (Sydney Poiter), who is on board to cover the trip for a magazine.
