SONY MOVIE CHANNEL PRESENTS A PAIR OF HEART-POUNDING PREMIERES, WITH PAUL BETTANY IN LEGION ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3 AT 10 P.M. ET, & PAUL WALKER IN TAKERS ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17, AT 10 P.M. ET

CULVER CITY, CA – Tuesday, January 24, 2017 – Fridays in February just got even more thrilling, as Sony Movie Channel presents heart-pounding premieres of the apocalyptic action epic LEGION on Friday, February 3, at 10 p.m. ET, and the taut crime caper TAKERS on Friday, February 17, at 10 p.m. ET.

In LEGION, diner patrons (Dennis Quaid, Charles S. Dutton, Tyrese Gibson) find themselves caught in the middle of a celestial battle, when God sends angels to earth to bring on the Apocalypse after losing faith in humanity. With dark forces slowly closing in, the archangel Michael (Paul Bettany) races to the scene to protect humanity’s only hope for survival: a young waitress’ (Adrianne Palicki) unborn child.

In TAKERS, Paul Walker leads a group of seasoned bank robbers (Idris Elba, Hayden Christensen, Chris Brown) on a daring heist to capture an armed truck transporting 12 million dollars. Things don’t quite go according to plan, however, as the thieves are betrayed by one of their own, leading to a harrowing standoff that pits them against Russian gangsters, and a cunning detective (Matt Dillon) who will stop at nothing to bring them to justice. Zoe Saldana, T.I., and Jonathan Schaech also star.
